Google Core Search Algorithm Update

June 16th saw another change in pattern by Google where it updated its core search algorithm update. As per many webmasters they have experienced a huge spike in terms of change in traffic and rankings.

As per the synopsis of Google’s conversation to SEL:

“This is not a Panda update. As you know, we’re always making improvements to our search algorithms and the web is constantly evolving. We’re going to continue to work on improvements across the board.”

Where at last Google confirmed it was a core ranking algorithm change a ususal process to make search quality better.

Another interesting part about the whole story is that many automated tracking tools like – Mozcast projected a huge changes happening in the Google search results. Initially it was suspected the change was by HTTPS algorithm, but Gary IIyes from Google threw some light on case on twitter.

“can’t comment more on this though, we make hundreds of changes every year, you know the rest.”

So this was not Panda, or HTTPs and even related to Penguin change. It was a normal Google core search Update.
